Whilst our wildlife has remained quiet over the winter months, we have been mega busy!! Our actions and achievements will hopefully help to secure and sustain our natural surroundings as well as supporting our local community.
What we have done so far this year:
- Participated in the Big Garden Birdwatch (RSPB citizen science project) for the Oxcroft and Stanfree Farm (low road) sites
- Local air quality monitoring (third year running) – awaiting results
- Tree planting (Stanfree park)
- Wildflower seeds sown on the meadow area of Stanfree park
- Forest School initial training so that we can deliver community based sessions during the summer!
