Unidentified surface deposit on Oxcroft Screens –
- Olfactory: on a hot day smell the organics being emitted from source (possibly Furans, PCBs, Dioxins of such nature).
- Observe leachate into near area – red, brown discoloration of substance into immediate area.
- Indication of Heavy metal contamination – lead, Iron, mercury, nickel, arsenic, cadmium deposits.
- Inorganic contamination – cyanides, asbestos and sulphides associated with stocking grounds.
