A very Happy New Year to all! Just thought we would take this opportunity to bring you all up to speed with some of the latest developments.
To begin there was a meeting on 13th December with Stanfree Valley Preservation Group and Friends of Oxcroft Screens and also representatives from DSM and Marcol. You can click here to read the full minutes of the meeting.
Following on from this the community requested a further meeting with Bolsover Land Ltd in Jan / Feb 2017 to be updated on the progress and site conditions. Bolsover land Ltd agree that this would be a good idea to involve the community. Meeting details and date will be posted a few weeks before. No details as yet, but please keep checking back!

I’m a bit late joining but isn’t it true the HS2 is planned to route via the site, and if so, why plan to sell houses to people who would have to be displaced in the future?

Thanks for posting. They are still not entirely sure what is happening to the Coalite site post clean up. Until all cleanup work is complete and the finalised HS2 route it mapped and confirmed.
HS2 meetings were last week so we will see what the outcome is. Agree that it seems like a badly thought out plan though.
